Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us through this website.
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. Who we are
Ryerson IT Solutions ("Ryerson", "we", "us") operates this website. Our registered office is 6105 San Ignacio Ave #110, San Jose, CA 95119, United States. If you have any question about this policy, contact us at support@ryersonitsolutions.com or +1-669-937-6221.
2. What information we collect
We only collect what we need in order to respond to you and to run the website:
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, telephone number, company name and the content of your message when you complete the enquiry form, subscribe to the newsletter or apply for a role.
- Technical information. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, recorded in standard server logs for security and diagnostic purposes.
- Cookies. A single session cookie is used to keep the enquiry form secure against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies without your consent.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and to prepare a proposal or quotation.
- To send the newsletter, where you have asked to receive it.
- To assess an application for employment.
- To protect the website against abuse and to diagnose technical problems.
- To comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Lawful basis
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on your consent (for the newsletter), our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and operating our website securely, and the performance of a contract where you become a client.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the business — for example our email, hosting and customer relationship management providers — and only to the extent they need it. They act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States and some of our service providers operate in other countries. Where personal information is transferred outside the country in which it was collected, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months.
- Client records: for the duration of the engagement and for seven years afterwards, to meet contractual and tax obligations.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Job applications: 12 months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
8. How we protect it
Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it. Our systems use encrypted transport (TLS), least-privilege access control and logging. We review these controls as part of our own security programme, and we follow a secure software development lifecycle in the work we deliver for clients.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. California residents additionally have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@ryersonitsolutions.com. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law.
10. Children
This website is intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age.
11. Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party sites, such as a mapping service or our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their own policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
Note for the site owner: this policy is a solid, honest starting point written to match how the website actually behaves. Have your legal adviser review it against your own internal processes, sub-processor list and the jurisdictions you operate in before relying on it.
