The brief

Creating software for Astarte Medical involved a meticulous process aimed at addressing their specific clinical and regulatory needs. The challenge

Clinical teams were combining nutrition, growth and outcome data from several disconnected sources using spreadsheets. The manual process was slow, difficult to audit and impossible to scale across additional hospital sites.

What we did

• Ran a four-week discovery programme with clinicians and data scientists to document the real analytical workflow.
• Designed a validated data model with full audit history, then prototyped the analyst interface before engineering began.
• Built an ingestion pipeline with automated validation rules and exception queues for out-of-range values.
• Deployed to a hardened cloud environment with infrastructure as code, encrypted storage and role-based access.
